A woman on TikTok stunned viewers after revealing she suddenly had to pay more than $13,000 in fines for 74 unpaid parking tickets.

TikToker sophiarosekellly recently shocked viewers after revealing that she had to pay more than $13,000 in fines for unpaid parking tickets.

Woman faces $13,000 fine for 74 parking tickets

Posted in late August 2023, Sophia revealed that she went to register her car at the California DMV when she discovered the unpaid tickets.

“Not doing what I did is almost like a PSA. I [went] went to the DMV to register my car and she looked at me and said ‘You owe 74 parking tickets’. Want to know how much is 74 parking tickets?,” she said.

“$13,000. So I had to pay $13,000 to the city of Los Angeles to have my car registered. It really looks like $14k because of late fees. They should name the highway after me at this point.”

Shocked, many viewers of the video took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the situation Sophia was in.

“The truth is you have $14,000 in your bank account. I need to do what you do, laugh out loud,” one user replied.

Another said: “Ma’am, they should have arrested me because my bank account was only $40.”
