Love Island’s Mitch Taylor is currently under fire for allegedly making homophobic comments at an event and now he’s speaking out about it.<\/p>\n

Season 10 of Love Island UK brought so much to our screens – romance, intense drama\u2026 and Mitchel Taylor, who is also known to fans as ‘Messy Mitch’.<\/p>\n

From hooking up with other men in the villa to U-turning his relationship when a bombshell emerged, Mitch arguably stole the show as an entertaining wildcard best.<\/p>\n

And his journey as a pot stirrer is not over yet. Two Love Island alumni have been kicked out of a high-profile event over accusations of homophobia. It was later confirmed that the two people in question were Season 10’s Mitch Taylor and Zachariah Noble.<\/p>\n

Is Love Island’s Mitch Taylor from Season 10 apologizing?<\/h2>\n

On September 25, Mitch released a TikTok to clarify his story, which has now gone viral with over 1 million views.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was talking to an influencer at the event and my words were ‘I like you when you’re candid,’\u201d he said. I could be considered homophobic. Sometimes I’m really bad with words. I’m just nervous when I meet this person. I am a fan of them.\u201d<\/p>\n

The reality star went on to reveal the amount of backlash he received due to the misunderstanding.<\/p>\n

Mitch said: \u201cI had to take a break from social media over the weekend. The amount of hate, death threats, [and] The horrible comments I have received, I cannot deal with.\u201d<\/p>\n

Judging by the discussion on Love Island Reddit, fans aren’t sure whether to forgive and forget or add it to his long list of supposed mistakes.<\/p>\n

One fan wrote: \u201cReally, really don’t like Mitchel, but respect telling the truth. Other Love Island ‘stars’ would happily lie about this, but it seems he was being completely honest.<\/p>\n

Another countered that, writing, “It’s funny to see people saying that anything Mitch says is 100% true when he’s been lying all season.”<\/p>\n
