Merriam-Webster has officially added popular slang terms like \u201crizz,\u201d \u201csimp,\u201d and more to its dictionary\u2026and netizens don’t know how to feel.<\/p>\n

The internet is responsible for a lot of popular slang \u2014 some of which we’ve covered right here on Dexerto.<\/p>\n

For example, the word ‘rizz’ took off in part thanks to Twitch star Kai Cenat as another word for ‘seductive’ or ‘flirting’. The term has truly exploded in popularity, even spawning spin-offs like ‘unspoken rizz’ and spawning a viral meme involving young influencer Baby Gronk.<\/p>\n

Now Merriam-Webster Dictionary has added ‘rizz’, along with 690 other slang terms, to its ranks as official words.<\/p>\n

Twitch: KaiCenatTwitch star Kai Cenat helped popularize the term ‘rizz’.<\/p>\n

\u201cRizz,\u201d \u201cSimp,\u201d \u201cGOATED\u201d and more are officially added to the dictionary<\/h2>\n

On September 27, Merriam-Webster updated its vocabulary with a bunch of new words, including some slang like ‘jorts’, ‘thirst trap’, ‘beast mode’ and even ‘GOATED’.<\/p>\n
