The entire Below Deck fan community is hoping Med Season 8 star Kyle Viljoen makes a very quick recovery after his recent diagnosis.<\/p>\n

Season 8 of Below Deck Mediterranean has been an intense roller coaster ride. From the fake documents investigation that caused the fastest fire in the show’s history, to a chef who can’t even cook eggs, this season has been considered Bravo’s best yet.<\/p>\n

One of the main stars of the eighth season is Kyle Viljoen. Working as a steward under Tumi Mhlongo’s orders, he is a very important part of ensuring the yacht runs smoothly.<\/p>\n

Based on his performance last season, viewers weren’t exactly excited about Kyle returning. However, after hearing about his latest health update, fans were willing to ignore it.<\/p>\n

What happened to Kyle in Below Deck Med Season 8?<\/h2>\n

On October 1, Kyle announced on his Instagram that he was recently hospitalized after a week of pain.<\/p>\n

\u201cMonday started with a sore throat like no other. Spread to my mouth, lips, hands and feet. After going to the clinic and being diagnosed with hand, foot and mouth disease, they sent me on my way. From Wednesday to Thursday, I had worse blisters, couldn’t swallow, had a swollen tongue, and had vision changes,\u201d he explained in the photo caption.<\/p>\n

The reality star went on to share that he has been officially diagnosed with a disorder called Stevens-Johnson Syndrome.<\/p>\n

Despite their disagreements over how he acted on the show, Below Deck Med viewers quickly rallied behind him with words of encouragement in the Reddit thread.<\/p>\n

One fan wrote: \u201cPoor guy, I hope he makes a quick and full recovery.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kyle has not yet shared whether his new diagnosis will affect his future with Below Deck.<\/p>\n
