Several Twitch employees claim they were warned that their positions were \u201cat risk\u201d just weeks before TwitchCon kicked off in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

As layoffs continue to plague the tech industry, employees at Twitch announced that they are facing another round of potential layoffs following a previous mass layoff at Amazon earlier this year .<\/p>\n

The issue was first revealed on the morning of October 3, 2023, when employees at Twitch announced that they had been informed that their positions were potentially \u201cat risk.\u201d<\/p>\n

Workers at Twitch posted similar statements on Twitter\/X, with many saying they had not been officially laid off, but worried that their jobs could be made \u201credundant\u201d if everyone going down.<\/p>\n

However, other posts suggested that layoffs had happened or would happen, with one employee saying: \u201cI survived another round of layoffs at Twitch, but my soul is completely crushed crushed into sand. I cannot express it in words to my colleagues.\u201d<\/p>\n

Twitch employees worried because work is considered “at risk”<\/h2>\n

So far, Twitch hasn’t confirmed or denied anything, leaving the community wondering what’s next for the streaming platform.<\/p>\n

The possible layoffs come just weeks before TwitchCon is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, where a host of major streamers will likely attend one of the biggest events of the year in online broadcasting sector.<\/p>\n

This news also follows another major round of Twitch layoffs that took place earlier this year, when Amazon laid off around 10,000 employees – which also affected Twitch, which is owned by Amazon.<\/p>\n

That’s not all; This news also follows a major update for streaming fans, as broadcaster KingGothalion announced it had received an email from Twitch CEO Dan Clancy in hopes of creating a fix. quick and dirty\u201d for streamers who abuse embedded broadcasts to gain more views.<\/p>\n

For now, we just have to wait and see what happens as more and more employees make similar claims about possible statistics about their positions at the streaming giant.<\/p>\n
