Fascination with Nada Salameh, wife of former governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, Riad Salameh, has increased lately. Riad Salame is a well-known figure in Lebanon. He is most recognized for his previous role as head of the country’s national bank, Banque du Liban. Salameh was appointed by the council of ministers in April 1993 for a renewable six-year term. Due to his abilities, he was re-elected to the position for four more years. As a result, the Antelias native becomes the longest-serving bank governor in the world. While he has been widely praised for keeping the Lebanese pound stable until 2019, he has also been accused of money laundering, corruption and running a massive Ponzi scheme.<\/p>
