Juan Merch\u00e1n is an acting judge of the New York County Supreme Court. He has held the position since April 2009. He was in charge of a tax evasion investigation involving Donald Trump’s company. Judge Merchan presided over the trial of Allen Weisselberg, former chief financial officer of the Trump Organization. The Colombia native has 16 years of experience on the bench.<\/p>
