A new dating tactic has been shared on TikTok by lifestyle influencer Erika Tham, who claims that the dating technique is used to gradually reduce the effort put into a relationship.<\/p>\n

Do you feel unlucky in love? Don’t worry, another brutal dating trend has gone viral that will make you question whether you even want to be in this relationship anymore.<\/p>\n

One woman in Toronto said she has been informed of straight men using this when they date women.<\/p>\n

Calling it \u201cboy math,\u201d TikTok user erikatham said one of her male friends told her about \u201cThe Penny Method.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said her friend explained it as similar to love bombing. \u201cImagine a girl as a piggy bank,\u201d she said. To get her interest, you obviously have to give her hundred dollar bills at first.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut printing hundred-dollar bills is hard work and you don’t always want to do it.<\/p>\n

The woman said the whole incident left her ‘very scared’ as she warned the ladies to ‘be safe out there’.<\/p>\n

TikTokers call the Penny Method \u201cpsycho\u201d and \u201ccrazy\u201d<\/h2>\n

Users commented on the viral video calling the ‘Penny Method’ ‘crazy’ as they said ‘just knowing and doing is psychotic’.<\/p>\n

Another person corrected that it was not ‘boy math’ but instead ‘mental math’.<\/p>\n

One person wrote: \u201cWhat happens when you really like someone and want to spend time with them without playing around or lying?\u201d<\/p>\n

But others joked that people “definitely don’t think that much” as one man wrote: “It’s cute that you think we think that way.”<\/p>\n

And some users revealed that it’s not just straight men who use it, as one wrote: “I was a victim of the money making method it was a girl who did it.”<\/p>\n
