A Beverly Hills plastic surgeon took to TikTok to reveal a genius method you can use every day to slow down the aging process.<\/p>\n

California-based plastic surgeon Dr. Faryan Jalalabadi (drjaluvmabody) is known for sharing many popular anti-aging tips and tricks with his 38,400 followers on TikTok.<\/p>\n

In one of his latest videos, he explains how spending 15-20 minutes in a sauna daily can help slow down the natural aging process and improve collagen production.<\/p>\n

\u201cSauna bathing slows down the aging process of the skin,\u201d he said in the viral clip, which has attracted more than 1.1 million views. \u201cIt improves collagen production and elasticity. It detoxifies the skin through sweating.\u201d<\/p>\n

The doctor also emphasized the heart-healthy properties of the sauna as well as its benefits for lung health and skin circulation. \u201cIt improves blood circulation to your skin. It releases small proteins to protect your DNA and cells from aging due to heat shock,\u201d he explains.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery day you do this, it’s an anti-aging practice. So, go to the sauna every day if possible,\u201d the content creator said.<\/p>\n

However, Dr. Jalalabadi warns against overdoing it, as forcing yourself to do 40 minutes can lead to exhaustion, dehydration, dizziness, nausea, headaches or even heat stroke. \u201cUnfortunately, if you have melasma, you must avoid it because this will worsen your hyperpigmentation,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

TikTok users flocked to the comments to joke about how they could achieve the same effect just by stepping outside in Texas or sitting in their cars.<\/p>\n

\u201cFree sauna outside in Houston, Texas for 6 months,\u201d one person joked. “I live in Texas. I don’t need a sauna. I need a cold plunge,\u201d another wrote.<\/p>\n
