On November 1, 2021, Anjana, along with former contest winner, Ansi Kabeer, and her two male friends were on their way back from an outing. Anjana is trying to get home to meet her mother who is alone. Police said the accident happened near Kochi next to the Holiday INN hotel at Ernakulam Bypass around 1:30 a.m. They had an accident when the driver tried to avoid hitting a motorbike but ended up hitting a tree. Those following them, a Ford Figo, immediately called the police. Anjana Shajan and Ansi Kabeer died on the spot from the collision while the other two are currently hospitalized with serious serious injuries at Ernakulam Medical Center. The social network was shocked by the sad death of two beauty queens. Anjana Shajan passed away at the age of 26.<\/p>\n
