Twitter is introducing a button on its platform that allows users to report what they say is misinformation about the US presidential election and <\/p>\n

Twitter is introducing a button on its platform that allows users to report what they say is sharing misinformation about the US presidential election. This is reported by The Hill. <\/p>\n

With this measure, we want to ensure that users are less and less misled ahead of the presidential elections that will be held this year. “A button can be, for example, incorrect information about how to participate in a reportable event,” said Twitter CEO Carlos Monje. <\/p>\n

Reports say Twitter employees have been vetted. The rules of the network are that messages that voters will be deceived are not allowed. The button was installed before general elections in other countries as well. <\/p>\n

This isn’t the only measure Twitter has found around election time. He has been on Twitter since the end of November and has been banned from advertising on political sites. This is an advertisement for politicians, but also political topics such as abortion, human rights and climate change. <\/p>\n

However, advertising is allowed, where people are told to go to the polls. <\/p>\n
