THIS morning booed fans inside the NTAs tonight as Holly Willoughby watched the show lose out after the Phillip Schofield scandal.<\/p>\n

The ITV daytime show was nominated alongside Loose Women, The Chase and The Repair Shop but did not win.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Following the Phillip Schofield affair scandal earlier this yearCredit: Rex Features<\/p>\n

Instead, the BBC’s workshop program took home the gong with Jay Blades leading the winner’s speech.<\/p>\n

An audience member inside The O2 gave the Sun a video of the whistle, but only cheers could be heard on the ITV broadcast.<\/p>\n

Drama has engulfed the program in recent months, with ITV bosses facing questions in parliament about alleged “toxic” backstage conditions following the Phillip Schofield scandal.<\/p>\n

Viewers attacked Holly for her behavior in the saga at the time.<\/p>\n

Now fans have instead voted bubbly Alison as TV’s best presenter, leaving Holly off the shortlist for the second year running.<\/p>\n

Last year, Phil and Holly plus Friday presenters Dermot O’Leary and Alison took to the stage to collect the gong.<\/p>\n

But Alison is done with the microphone.<\/p>\n

Phil, 61, who quit his job after admitting to an affair with a young runner, is also out in the cold.<\/p>\n

Instead, Alison, 48, will compete with Bradley Walsh, Claudia Winkleman, Martin Lewis and Ant and Dec — the Geordie duo have won the award 21 times.<\/p>\n

A TV source said: “It’s hard to see a time when Ant and Dec don’t pick up the presenter gong at the NTA. But behind them, the shortlist has become a battleground in itself. Holly was last nominated in 2021, but she and Phil missed out in 2022.<\/p>\n

“Holly would never have expected to beat Ant and Dec, but everyone hoped her loyalty to This Morning and resilience would pay off with the nod this year. After all, she didn’t do anything wrong.<\/p>\n
