Madison Beer has addressed the \u201cnasty\u201d controversy surrounding her reportedly canceled appearance in Ariana Grande’s ‘Thank u Next’ music video.<\/p>\n

Back in 2020, influencer and singer Madison Beer received a lot of backlash after claiming that she was supposed to appear in Ariana Grande’s music video for the song ‘Thank u Next ‘ hers.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hate saying this, because everyone on Twitter is like, ‘You’re lying, I hate you.’ I should have been in the video,\u201d Beer said during the fan meeting.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen they were filming, I was in Miami. She told me the whole idea and said, ‘Yeah, we’re doing this Mean Girls thing.’ And I was in my bedroom in Miami thinking, ‘Let’s fly back to LA now!’\u201d<\/p>\n

The video went viral on social media, sparking criticism from Grande fans who believe Beer is lying about her supposed appearance in the video – including the appearance by YouTuber Colleen Ballinger, influencer Gabi DeMartino and even Kris Jenner.<\/p>\n

Madison Beer admits statement about Ariana Grande’s video was ‘nasty’<\/h2>\n

However, Beer has now addressed the issue some three years later, admitting that the incident was “confusing” but asserting that she was indeed invited to participate in the project.<\/p>\n

“I did!” she explained in a recent interview on the Zach Sang Show. \u201cI didn’t even mean to bring it up, my mind was like, ‘Say it.’ That whole situation, I can laugh about it now, but people were very mean to me about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cListen, the way I speak is definitely annoying,\u201d she admitted. \u201cThe way it came out of my mouth was so annoying. But I was just talking to some of my fans and I don’t know\u2026 it’s horrible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Madison then claimed that she had the receipts, but felt that showing them off would make an already \u201cunpleasant\u201d situation even more embarrassing.<\/p>\n

Bia is often compared to Ariana Grande, and in the past fans called her a \u201cwannabe\u201d \u2014 something she gave up and continues to fight against years later.<\/p>\n
