xQc admitted on stream that going through with ex-partner Adept’s lawsuit against him “may never happen”, describing the process as “disastrous”.
Earlier this year, xQc and Adept’s public split came to a head when a criminal investigation into allegations of sexual assault and battery was closed without a conviction.
The lawsuit was brought after Adept, whose real name is Samantha Lopez, made serious allegations against her former partner, Félix ‘xQc’ Lengyel. The matter is finally over and the final outcome reported is neither “conviction nor adjournment.”
Now, just over a month after the case ended, xQc has opened up to online viewers to provide some insight into how he has been holding up since the proceedings.
“Overcome [the lawsuit] may never happen and I don’t want to say that,” xQc admitted. “It was a wound that left scars forever [sic].”
Calling the lawsuit an “absolute disaster,” xQc admitted he never thought he would have to defend himself in court against allegations of abuse and violence.
He said, “I literally had to do things that I thought I would only see in movies, like do a full interview with the police, have to go to court, and literally, [having to] fight for my life.
“I never thought I would be in that position for any reason and there I was,” xQc continued. “It’s not something that disappears, you know?”
The streamer’s fans expressed their support, with one person writing: “Being criticized by the court is no joke.” However, others sided with Adept and commented that xQc was “not a victim.”
