xQc recently tried Pokimane’s first product under the Myna Snacks brand, her Midnight Mini Cookies, and gave a thorough, “unbiased” review live.
Pokimane is one of the latest content creators to launch her own product line. Following in the footsteps of KSI and Logan Paul with Prime Hydration and MrBeast with Feastables, the influencer introduced his healthy snack brand to the world on November 14.
However, Myna Snacks was immediately criticized for many reasons. From accusations about Costco shipping similar products to criticism about the pricing of her first batch of cookies, it’s been a tumultuous time for the online personality. Calling viewers to “go bankrupt” only added fuel to the fire, causing a series of fellow live streamers to react.
Now looking to give the product a fair shake after its controversial launch, xQc tried out Midnight Mini Cookies during his latest livestream, giving what he claimed were ” objective assessment”.
Twitter: pokimanelolPokimane’s Myna Snacks is providing consumers with healthier alternatives to snacks.
A self-described cookie fanatic and “snacker” who “eats cookies all the time,” xQc wanted to provide a thorough analysis. “I think feedback is very important,” he said before the first taste test. “It doesn’t hurt.”
After a few nervous minutes, he finally dove into the first bag and gave his initial thoughts, opening with “It has its pros, it has its cons.”
“The original taste…wasn’t the same. Tastes like Oreo cookies but worse. Not as bitter. But then the flavor kicks in and it’s not terrible.
“I’m not rude. It’s not great, not terrible. This [is] a cookie texture I’ve never had before. It was a little strange.”
Breaking it all down into stages, xQc then offered his biggest criticism, claiming “The aftertaste makes me uncomfortable. It makes me uncomfortable.”
xQc begins its review of Pokimane’s cookies at the 1:41:50 mark below.
Immediately after bringing his brother in to deliver another ‘unbiased’ verdict, Nicolas Lengyel was also unmoved by the new biscuits. “It’s like brownies but drier. I won’t buy it.”
Finally given the deciding score, xQc went straight to the middle, labeling Pokimane’s first snack product “5 out of 10.”
He then reiterated: “Feedback is always important. I think there are improvements that need to be made.”
His thoughts are mostly in line with our 3 out of 5 review at Dexerto, in which we said: “Are they good? Absolute. Are they healthier than other leading cookie brands? Correct. Are they worth $7 a bag? Sure is not.”
