FIFA YouTuber Manny has criticized “weird” fans which prompted a backlash after scoring a hat-trick in a 2023 Sidemen charity football match.
Now an annual event for fans, the Sidemen charity match is back after the huge success of 2022. It’s fair to say that this year’s match was absolutely epic with the Sidemen raising the bar match by selling tickets to the entire London Stadium, home of West Ham football club.
With more than 60,000 tickets available to fans and more people watching the match than ever before, Sidemen FC once again maintained their winning streak at YouTube All-Stars. In typical Sidemen charity match fashion, the game kicked off and the goals quickly followed, with the score at 8-5 at full time.
Purely action-packed, FIFA YouTuber Manny, who is also the brother of Sidemen member TBJZL, put on a stellar performance on the field – putting three xQc Twitch stars between the Allstars’ goal posts.
Manny responds to criticism of the match by the Sidemen Charity
While many were excited for Manny’s return to the field, playing for Sidemen FC once again, others criticized the YouTuber after the match – criticizing him for “trying too hard” to get got a hat-trick.
Respond to critics in a tweetManny explained that he has never been selfish on the field and responded to claims that he “ruined the game”.
“The weirdos act like I’m the first person to score a hat-trick in a charity match,” he wrote. “If you watch the others back, I was always unselfishly passing to anyone, giving a penalty to Vikk but suddenly I ruined the game.”
He added: “I took four shots. I wasn’t even going to shoot until JJ complained to us.”
in one next tweet, Manny explained that he would even pass to Vikkstar as the crowd cheered him on to score, even though he was offside. This YouTuber further explained that he even pushed the opponent to score more goals.
“I would have passed to Vikk if he wasn’t offside, that’s the only reason I shot. He even apologized to me,” he said. “I begged Speed and Filly not to score too deep. Stop being weird. It was a wonderful occasion. Money was raised for charity and the dreams of many people were realized.”
The flurry of goals wasn’t the only notable moment of the Charity match, as we saw IShowSpeed fail miserably when they missed a penalty against KSI.
Not only that, we also witnessed the 18-year-old avid fan of Ronaldo stirring up the field with his interceptions, including a tackle with MrBeast.
