Bask 46 had just opened before appearing on Kitchen Nightmares. But is the shop still open or is it closed?
Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares is back and better than ever with new episodes. FOX has decided to revive the series, focusing on a world-class chef trying to revive multiple failing restaurants.
In Episode 1, Ramsay worked with the Bel Aire Diner to address their dysfunctional family’s group menu and dynamic. In fact, the 50-year-old Queens, New York restaurant is still open today.
In the second episode, Ramsay visited Bask 46 in Woodland, New Jersey, which opened in February 2023. But will the bar and grill survive their Kitchen Nightmares segment?
Is Bask 46 by Kitchen Nightmares still open?
As of October 2023, Bask 46 is still open but chef Bobby has not returned to the restaurant.
Chef Bobby apologized to the owner for the raw chicken being thrown away but quickly returned to his old habits. The two-month update revealed that the chef never returned to the kitchen.
Initially, Ramsay criticized the place’s food portions and how people “took away more food than they ate.” He was also shocked after learning Bask 46’s “housemade cheese sauce” actually included Cheez-Wiz.
Since then, Bask 46 has added flank steak, beef sliders, and blackened shrimp tacos to their menu.
Bask 46 has only 71 reviews on Google, rating 4.2 out of 5 stars. Recent customers praised the bar for its “juicy” burgers and delicious fries.
“The atmosphere and handmade decor are really fun and engaging, every time I come I notice things with more depth. Highly recommended,” one person wrote.
