David Dangerfield was the first deaf man to be featured on 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days. The show saw him stalking Sheila, a single mother from Cebu, Philippines, who is also completely deaf. However, unlike David, Sheila was born hearing but started using hearing aids after having “ear problems” at the age of six.

These lovebirds first met online through a Facebook group for deaf singles. However, as David mainly communicated in American Sign Language, which Sheila was not very familiar with, the couple found it difficult to communicate via video call. So they got around it by only talking through English texts.

This could cause a big problem because they are meeting face to face. But then again, Sheila was doing her best to learn ASL, as they say learning sign language is the hearing impaired’s cup of tea. And with more than 2 years to their name, Sheila may already have her way.

David was in several relationships before Sheila, the last one ended due to infidelity. “Six years ago, I fell in love with a deaf woman,” he explained. “It made me feel a lot better that I wasn’t alone. But we broke up because she cheated on me. It broke my heart.”

The woman who cheated on David was called Ashley Labs. He caught her in the act with another man (who was hidden in her closet).
