A British man has revealed some of the “ridiculous things” he experienced due to accidentally having the same name as the famous fictional wizard, Harry Potter.
According to research by childcare.co.uk, the number of parents paying homage to their favorite fictional characters and celebrities by naming their newborns after them has spike.
But what is life really like for these kids growing up, especially those with more recognizable names? Well, a TikToker just spilled the beans.
According to ‘world trends’ online, this British man happens to be named Harry Potter. And now he has shared four of the most “ridiculous things” he has ever experienced due to this strange coincidence.
Born six months before his first book was published, Harry decided to “rank” some of his life experiences, the first of which was his participation in a Japanese game show.
“I’ve made about a hundred pounds from this and I think it’s brilliant,” Harry said. However, he then added that another participant – also named Harry Potter – bought a first edition of The Philosopher’s Stone, which he was then able to sell for a whopping 30,000 euros .
Luckily, second place on the list can make up for the loss; Harry had the opportunity to meet his “uncle” Gary Oldman, who plays Sirius Black in the film.
TikTok: wordlytrendsHarry was even photographed with Oldman.
The chance meeting took place at an airport during a school trip, Oldman did not believe in the strange coincidence until Harry showed the actor his passport.
“Coming in third place, I managed to open a bookstore to release the Deathly Hallows at midnight,” Harry continued, showing a childhood photo of himself in a wizard’s outfit.
Finally, Harry shared that while walking to college, a passerby he had never met told him, “You’re a wizard, Harry.”
“And I never found out who he was,” Harry concluded.
