Britney Spears breaks silence on split from husband Sam Asghari that has left her ‘shocked’

BRITNEY Spears says her split from husband Sam Asghari has left her shocked in her first public statement since their break-up.

The pop star, 41, shared one of her many dancing videos with her more than 42million Instagram followers confirming that she and Sam are separated.

“As everyone knows, (Sam) and I are no longer together … 6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I’m a little shocked but,” the post read.

“I’m not here to explain why because its honestly nobody’s business !!! But, I couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly !!!”

Britney explained that in “some sort of telepathic way” she has received several heartwarming messages from friends and thanked them for their kind words.

“I’ve been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that !!!

“I would love to show my emotions and tears on how I really feel but some reason I’ve always had to hide my weaknesses !!!”

Britney added that she will continue to remain strong and do her very best.

“Anyways have a good day and don’t forget to smile !!!”

Sam, 29, claimed he caught the pop superstar cheating with a staffer at their house, according to TMZ.

He claimed that Britney also “engaged in other inappropriate sexual conduct” the outlet reported.

Sources with direct knowledge shared: “Sam has claimed Britney asked at least one staffer to shoot video of her naked.

“Not only that, we’re told Sam believes she hooked up with at least one of the male staff members working at her home.”

Sources said there’s footage of Britney and the staffer together in a “compromising position.”

The outlet shared that while Sam had been “over the marriage” for a while, the alleged cheating was his “last straw.”

The news broke on Wednesday that the couple decided to split 14 months after they tied the knot at a stunning Los Angeles ceremony.

SPLIT FROM SAM

Sam filed for divorce just hours after the news swirled.

He cited “irreconcilable differences” as his reason for ending the relationship, according to TMZ.

He also listed their date of separation as July 28, 2023.

He’s since broken his silence on Instagram Stories.

In the statement, he announced: “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together.

“We will hold on to the love and respect we have for each other, and I wish her the best always.”

He continued: “S**t happens. Asking for privacy seems ridiculous so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful.”

He has turned off the comments on all of his recent Instagram posts.

Sam’s representative told The U.S. Sun: “There are many claims that Sam is challenging the prenup and threatening to exploit his ex-wife with videos.

“However, all these claims are false, as no negative intention has ever been directed towards her and never will be. Sam has always and will always support her.”

On the other side, sources have accused Britney of cheating on Sam, though she has not addressed the buzz to either confirm or deny it.

An insider told ET Online earlier on Wednesday: “Britney and Sam have split. She’s adamant she didn’t cheat. The two haven’t got along for a while and it finally came to an end after a major blowup.”

The couple had a prenup to ensure her estimated $70million fortune would be safe, but he is looking to contest it.

He has already requested spousal support and legal fees, but the inside said he is hoping Britney will give him a payout for the whole thing to go away quietly.

But there is every possibility the split could turn nuclear if she refuses, with those close to him claiming he could spill “extraordinarily embarrassing” secrets about her.

The Toxic singer has hired top divorce lawyer Laura Wasser.

A source close to the superstar said: “Britney has been pushed around by men her whole life. She is not going to let it happen again.

“There has been one heartbreak after another in her life but she won’t be taken advantage of this time. She will fight for what’s rightfully hers if it comes to that.”

MOVING OUT

Sam has been now living in his own place since moving out.

On Thursday, TMZ reported that Sam claimed Britney gave him a black eye while he was sleeping.

Sources told the news outlet that Sam said Britney got physical with him and it got bad that security had to get involved.

However, when Sam was allegedly attacked while in bed, there was no security to help, and he did not fight back but was left stunned by his wife’s action.

Other sources told TMZ that Sam was concerned as Britney enjoyed having knives all over their house.

“[Britney] was paranoid someone was going to get her, and she needed the knives as protection,” the source said.

The couple was last seen together on a trip to Cabo, Mexico, last month during which they each appeared unhappy.
