A Burlington customer went viral on TikTok after discovering what appeared to be bed bugs crawling on her clothes.
TikToker Brandy Wells (brandywells) horrified viewers when she allegedly found brown bugs on clothes during a shopping trip to an Ohio-based Burlington store.
In an 11-second viral clip with 4.9 million views, the customer filmed and zoomed in on what she believed were bedbugs crawling on various items in the store.
“When you’re trying to do your Christmas shopping and see this crawling on clothes in Burlington!!!” she wrote in the video’s caption, which features background audio of a voice saying “Oh no no no no.”
TikTok reacts to bedbugs crawling on clothes
Many TikTok users in the comments section shared their own experiences of encountering something similar. “Oh no, it’s been 9 years since I experienced them and I’m still traumatized when I see them on photos or videos,” one person wrote.
“No because I actually caught 3 in the children’s clothing area… and when I went to tell the workers, they called their manager and did nothing to explain it to them,” said one others affirmed.
“There was a paintbrush inside one of the diaper bags when I was pregnant shopping for last-minute things last year. Crawled right into the bag,” another person shared.
Others question whether the bug is actually a bed bug. “Are those bedbugs or ticks?” one user asked. “It’s not a bed bug but a tick..but why are you looking at me towards it?” another said. “Those aren’t bedbugs but ladybugs that bite people,” a third person added.
This isn’t the first time bed bug allegations have attracted attention on TikTok. Last year, a woman made headlines after claiming she was bitten by a terrifying reptile in an AMC movie theater.
