He represents Cali Condors, part of the International Swimming Federation. Caeleb holds world records in the 100 meter butterfly, 50 meter freestyle (short track) and 100 meter individual medley. He is also a 7-time Olympic gold medalist. At the 2017 World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, he won 7 gold medals and a record 8 medals at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships in Gwangju.

Dressel was born on August 16, 1996 in Green Cove Springs, Florida. He is the third child out of four of his parents. His father is a veterinarian. His three siblings Tyler, Kaitlyn and Sherridon are also competitive swimmers. Dressel attended Clay High School in Green Cove Springs, Florida. But has been coaching with the Bolles School Sharks in Jacksonville. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in 2018. In October 2011, he also started his youtube channel.

Caeleb Dressel Career
Dressel was the youngest male swimmer at age 15 at the 2012 United States Olympic Trials and placed 145th in the 50-meter freestyle and 152nd in the 100-meter freestyle. He won six medals, including gold in the 100 meter freestyle at the 2013 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships in Dubai, breaking the championship record. Additionally, at the 2013 Speedo Winter Junior National Championships, Dressel was the youngest swimmer in history to break the 19-second barrier in the 50-yard freestyle. He won the 2015 NCAA title in the 50-yard freestyle during his freshman year at the University of Florida. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Dressel won her first gold medal in the 4×100 meter freestyle relay. At the 2018 NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships, he won all three individual races and claimed his first relay national title.

Caeleb was born and raised a Christian and his large eagle tattoo was inspired by the bible verse Isaiah 40:31. Due to struggling with mental demons, he quit swimming for a while during his senior year of high school. In 2011, he started posting videos to his youtube channel. Dressel started dating Meghan Amelia Haila in 2013 and they got engaged in 2019 at Shands Pier in her hometown of Jacksonville. The couple married in February 2021.
