She got her first leading role at the age of 19 and pushed herself into the world of showbiz.

Danielle, who now works on Talk TV, told how she cuddled up to the pop star and footballer off camera.

In an interview with The Daily Star, she said: “I remember when I was only 19 and I was on CITV making out with a pop star in the dressing room.”

She added: “It was pretty cheeky but I did even more than that with the footballer. The good news is I ended up marrying him so that was fine!”

It is about former Bolton Wanderers star football player Dean Holden, whom she married a few years after meeting.

The channel, which launched in 2006, will shut down to make way for new children’s streaming service ITVX Kids.

Danielle expressed her sadness about the channel going off the air. She pointed out how many successful presenters forged their careers on the show – including Ant and Dec, Cat Deeley and Andi Peters.

CITV is famous for once being home to old favorites such as My Parents Are Aliens, Horrid Henry, Fraggle Rock and The Worst Witch.

The channel will end on September 1 at 9pm, according to TV Zone UK.

In a statement via Sky News, ITV said the decision to close the channel came as a result of falling ratings.

“As a consequence of this new approach to streaming and in response to the changing ways in which children and their parents are increasingly accessing content, the CITV broadcast channel will close after the summer holidays on 1 September.”

Saturday’s showdown between Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern was the first program to air on CITV.

Fun House, Knightmare, Children’s Ward, Raggy Dolls, Woof and Art Attack are some of the other classic series that have called CITV home.

Ghost Train, Press Gang, Danger Mouse, Trap Door and Count Duckula are also shows that were extremely popular when they aired on the channel.
