How to see which X (Twitter) list you’re on

Anyone can add you to their List on X. The good thing is you’ll know when they do. But the downside is that X won’t tell you whether someone has added you to a Private List or not. As such, you may be part of a List that you do not want to be a member of.

And the worst thing is that someone can use this feature to harass you. But don’t worry; that won’t make you quit X completely.

1. Click List from the left menu bar.
2. In the Lists page, tap the three-dot menu in the upper right corner.
3. Select the List you are accessing.
4. This will take you to a page where you can see all the X-Lists you are a member of.

On Android and iOS, follow these steps:

1. Tap your profile photo in the upper left corner.
2. Tap List and select the three-dot menu in the upper right corner.
3. Finally, tap on the List you’re on to see which List X you’re on.

How to remove yourself from the list on X (Twitter)

If you want to remove yourself from the List on X, there’s only one way to do it. That’s by blocking List creators, according to X support.

To remove yourself from the List by blocking the creator, follow these steps:

1. Select X List that you want to remove yourself from the List you are on the page.
2. Tap the three dots in the upper right corner of the Lists page.
3. Select Block @creatorname.
4. Tap Block, then if you’re on mobile, tap Block again to confirm. This will remove you from that list immediately.

If you don’t want to permanently block the List creator, you can unblock them later. But if you do this, they can still add you to their List in the future.
