A 33-YEAR-OLD social media star has died after suffering a “double cardiac arrest”.

Instagram influencer Larissa Borges died on Monday after being in a coma in the hospital for more than a week.

The young woman was first admitted on August 20 after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest in the city of Gramado in her native Brazil, her family’s social media posts revealed.

But after a second cardiac arrest, the PE student sadly passed away.

Larissa has gained more than 30,000 followers online, where she shares selfies, pictures from her travels, and health and fitness tips.

Just three days before her hospitalization, Larissa – who was from Brasília – shared a picture of herself posing in Gramado wearing a black puffer coat and plaid skirt.

Other pictures, released just a day before her cardiac arrest, show her in a trendy all-black outfit, with a tag indicating she was at the city’s film festival during her visit.

After she went to the hospital, loved ones took to her account and shared updates on her condition, with fans pouring into the comments to wish her well.

The tragic news that Larissa had died was announced yesterday, with claims that she had “bravely fought” for her life.

The family of the young woman is now asking for donations to transfer the body from Gramad to her hometown.

A family member wrote: “Any amount, however small, will make a difference and ease the financial burden the family is facing at this very challenging time.”

Local police are reportedly investigating the death.
