It is not clear whether the movie Flight 666 is based on a true story or not. “Flight 666” is a 2018 horror film directed by Rob Pallatina. The story follows a group of passengers and crew on a commercial flight who are attacked by unseen forces while in the air. As the situation becomes increasingly difficult, the passengers must fight for their lives and come to the realization that the plane may be possessed by evil spirits. The film stars Liz Fenning, Jose Rosete and Joseph Michael Harris, and the entire film contains tense suspense, shocking scares and an eerie atmosphere.

Flying a red eye from coast to coast, Pan US 57 encounters a storm that leads to a series of unfortunate events. Peck, one of the passengers, is restrained by Sky Marshal Thaddeus after he claims to see ghostly figures on the wing. Review of flight 666

The film LET 666 begins with a series of murders. A killer targets young women and we witness a summary of these incidents during the opening credits. The camera gradually pans away from the final crime scene, into the sky and onto a plane flying through a turbulent storm. The situation worsens when one of the passengers on the wing spots what appears to be a ghost. Suddenly, the plane experiences engine failure, causing it to plummet, only to take off again just as abruptly.

The revelation that there is a conspiracy about the murdered girls and the killer on the plane is not revealed until the end of the film. Normally I’d avoid revealing spoilers in a review, but since the film’s synopsis already mentions it, it’s hardly a surprise when the revelation comes. Furthermore, it is not surprising to discover the identity of the killer who is haunted by the ghosts.

Ridiculous premise aside, Flight 666 challenges the suspension of disbelief of horror fans. The behavior of the aircraft seems almost parodic, and the cabin and pilot staff are extremely incompetent. In one scene, the plane goes into a nose dive for several minutes, but the pilots miraculously manage to save it with only a drop of blood from the passenger’s nose as the only injury. This scene serves only as a set-up for the next bland scare attempt.

The acting in Flight 666 ranges from bad to downright terrible, and the characters are almost completely pointless. They don’t react in a realistic way, and their attempts at character development are painfully shallow. Some of the dialogue feels awkward and forced, like a couple talking about whether they’ve ever seen a ghost.

LET 666 lacks internal consistency and disregards basic safety procedures. The ghosts’ desire for revenge on their killer puts the lives of innocent passengers in danger, and repeated steep descents should have prompted the deployment of oxygen masks, but they never appear. The film’s only redeeming feature is its well-crafted and creepy ghosts, as there are no real scares and the level of violence is only suitable for a PG audience.
