Kerry (42) admitted that Brain (43) not being in the picture “really bothers” their daughters.

The TV presenter said: “I’m the one who worries about them.

“I didn’t get maintenance money from Brian.

“I signed a piece of paper that said ‘you can keep your money, give me the kids’.”

Joining entrepreneur Ellie McKay on her podcast On A Mission, Kerry admitted she “didn’t want his ‘fucking money’” – saying she just wanted her kids after the bitter split.

She continued: “He didn’t want to divorce in England because we got married in Ireland.

“We had to be legally separated, at least for six years, before we could divorce.

“I didn’t want that, if Brian doesn’t love me, I want a divorce, so I wanted to divorce in England, because I was an English citizen.

‘There was a ‘Ray Parlor situation’ in football where the wife was entitled to half his money for the rest of his life. So Brian was a dick himself.

“I said look if you don’t want me, you don’t love me, I don’t want your money, just give me half of the money from the house we’re selling and I’ll sign a piece of paper, just give me my kids. I signed the paper, I got the kids, and he went off to Australia.”

The host then asked, “But surely as a dad he has a duty of care?”

Kerry spoke up and said: “He was like dad, he was like dad.

“I think it really bothers the two girls, especially now because he’s such a great dad to Ruby.”

Kerry’s confession comes after Brian admitted he missed a lot with his two daughters.

The couple met in 1999 and later married in 2002.

Two years after they got married, they decided to go their separate ways.

The Irish singer admitted that he regrets “not being there as much for his two oldest children”.

Brian told Closer Magazine: “I was a kid myself when I had Molly and Lilly, and I was at the height of my career at Westlife – we were literally working 365 days a year and there was no FaceTime so I could not talk to the kids. .

“I could only see them when I got home.

“So it was a lot harder and I missed out on a lot of things I would have liked to see with the girls.”
