A Kick streamer’s phone was stolen in the middle of his delivery during a live broadcast, leaving viewers shocked.
Live streams are famous for capturing the occasional wild moment in real time — but some are more shocking than others.
In fact, some live streamers have discovered legitimate crimes occurring during their broadcasts. From broadcasters witnessing horrifying wallet snatchings to even being threatened with a knife, it’s hardly surprising that moments like these happen on air today.
Now, another criminal has been caught by a live streamer – one who was the victim of a robbery that happened while he was at work.
Kick Streamer’s phone was stolen while making a delivery
Kick streamer RayInTheCity is both a broadcaster and a delivery driver, who was making a delivery in early December when he left his car parked on the side of the road to take orders for customers.
He left his phone in his car to broadcast from the taxi while doing his job – and while he was away, an opportunistic thief saw their opportunity to strike.
In a clip taken from Ray’s stream, viewers can hear a loud noise from the window breaking as the phone falls from its position in the car.
After that, the broadcast ended but it was clear what had happened. The thief broke Ray’s car window and stole the phone he was using to stream.
While Ray didn’t provide much of an update after the situation was captured during his livestream, he did make a post on Twitter/X sharing the clip, writing: “ What a bad day. Thank you for your inconvenience, losers.”
Ray isn’t the first streamer to lose his phone while broadcasting live. In fact, a series of streamers have had their phones snatched, including one woman who was streaming on the beach when a thief snatched her phone out of her hand.
