It seems like every game with an online element, especially the free-to-play ones, gets into the Halloween spirit. Whether it’s shooters, RPGs, or in this case, fighters, there’s always a fun way to usher in the spooky season with a new mode, event, and special rewards. For MultiVersusthis holiday is going to be a big one as not only will the new character Stripe be introduced with the patch, but there will also be a whole host of Halloween content.
Unlike some other larger scale games, MultiVersus they can’t exactly create brand new dedicated game types just for Halloween, as much as we’d be excited if they did. However, that hasn’t stopped the team from adding some sweet gameplay incentives and a new little layer to the game that will allow you to get your hands on some brand new rewards that you can’t get any other way. Here’s a complete guide to the Halloween event at MultiVersus and what rewards you can get.

What is a Halloween event?
The MultiVersus The Halloween event is already underway, so you don’t need to do anything special to sign up to participate. The event itself will run until November 15th, giving you plenty of time to grab whatever prizes you find appealing.
The main aspect of the Halloween event is a new, temporary currency called candy. Candies are earned by completing matches, with different reward amounts for wins and losses in each game mode. If you play normally in Free-For-All, singles or doubles, you will earn 20 candies for each match you win and only 10 for each match you lose.
However, there is a way to double those payouts to 40 per win and 20 per loss. Unlocking and wearing a special Halloween costume on any character during a match will earn you an extra candy payout. In addition, if you play doubles and both players in your team wear the costume, you will get 60 candies for a win and 40 for a loss.
Otherwise, just play as you wish and earn your candy to get some of the special Halloween rewards that can only be purchased for those special treats.
What are the prizes?

MultiVersus has added tons of new costumes, icons, stickers, and variants for almost the entire cast to spend your candy on. However, many of the best items will cost quite a bit of those sweet treats, while others will cost your usual Gleamium, so check them all out and plan ahead so you can stock up before you run out.
Halloween Skins:
- Reindog Mummy — 3000 candies
- Calico Cake — 12,000 candies
- Vampire Tom and Jerry — 800 Gleamium
- Witch Velma — 1500 Gleamium
- Black Lantern Superman — 2000 Gleamium
- Black Lantern Wonder Woman — 2000 Gleamium
- Frankenstein’s Iron Giant — 1500 Gleami
Other Halloween prizes:
- Pumpkin Patch Profile Icon — 150 candies
- Jack-O-Lantern Emotive Sticker — 500 candies
- Mummy Reindog Epic Variant — 12,000 candies
- Calico Cake Epic variant — 12,000 candies
Now, if you’re either not a fan of any of these rewards or just play enough to have everything you want, fear not: Unlike in real life, you can actually sell your candy back for gold. The exchange rate is pretty awful — 500 candies will only give you 10 gold — but it’s better than letting it go to waste, right?
