Twitch star Pokimane released her own brand of cookies, ‘Myna Snacks’, this November – but are they worth it and the controversy that comes with it?

In November 2023, Pokimane released its first product, a snack line called ‘Myna Snacks’. The first (and so far only) product in the line is ‘Midnight Mini Cookies’ – bite-sized dark chocolate cookies fortified with Vitamin D and filled with white chocolate.

There’s also an option to join the Myna Snacks Club for $25.20, which delivers four packs of Myna Snacks to your door every month.
By the smallest batch, including standard shipping, fans will pay a total of $32.99 for just four bags of mini chocolate chip cookies. This is the option I chose.

In fact, I found myself rummaging through an entire bag without even realizing it. Although they taste a bit airy at first, you’ll find yourself reaching for another, then another… Next thing you know, the entire bag is gone.

However, at $7 a bag, with about 28 cookies in each bag, I can’t say that Pokimane’s Myna Snacks Midnight Mini Cookies are worth the money. Are they delicious? Absolute. Are they healthier than other leading cookie brands? Correct. Are they worth $7 a bag? Sure is not.
That said, mileage may vary for those with dietary restrictions. Finding good gluten-free options can be difficult, especially when it comes to baked goods like cookies. If you’re looking to satisfy your cravings while still sticking to your diet, these cookies may be more valuable to you than the average consumer.
Of course, Poki isn’t the only influencer with expensive products, and she’s certainly not the only creator who’s faced backlash due to her products (Prime Energy, anyone? ?) – but keep in mind the price it might be better to grab a granola bar instead.
