Qb1: Beyond the Lights is an American documentary series directed by Peter Berg. Each season of the series focused on three high school quarterbacks from different backgrounds. The show follows them as they play their final season before moving on to NCAA Division 1 college football. The first season was released in February 2017 on Netflix. The second season premiered in February 2018, and the third season in August 2019. There are a total of 30 episodes, each of which lasts 33 minutes.

Jake Fromm
Jake Fromm is third all-time on the Georgia high school football team. Only Taylor Lawrence and Deshaun Watson have one above him. He threw for over 8,000 yards and had 78 touchdowns. He was selected in the fifth round of the NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills and will compete for a backup role in his rookie season.

Tate Martell
Tate Martell never lost a game when he started at Bishop Gorman. He was named the MaxPreps National Player of the Year after leading the Las Vegas power to the national championship during his senior season. He started his college career at Ohio State and transferred to Miami in 2019.

Teyvon Bowers
Teyvon Bowers had 5,439 total yards over his final two years of high school. He had 66 touchdowns. He was a three-star recruit and recently transferred to Garner Webb University from Wake Forest.

Justin Fields
Justin Fields finished his high school career as the second-leading rusher in the Class of 2018. He totaled 6,283 yards and 69 touchdowns. He was also named the MVP of The Opening in 2017. He played his freshman season at Georgia, then transferred to Ohio prior to his sophomore season.

Real Mitchell
He led the Southern California powerhouse to the CIF Open Division Championship. He totaled 3,990 yards and 45 touchdowns. The Braves finished the season as the no. 5 in 2016. He spent his first two years of college at Iowa State and transferred to Temple.

Sam Hartman
Hartman himself threw for nearly 10,000 yards in high school. During his sophomore and junior seasons at Davidson, he threw for 6,388 yards and 69 touchdowns. As a senior at Oceanside, he threw for 3,300 yards and 38 touchdowns. He’s at Wake Forest.

Spencer Rattler
Spencer Rattler finished high school with 11,083 career yards and also led Pinnacle to a state basketball title during his junior season. He teamed up with Nick Mannion in the backfield. He was the top-rated running back for the 2019 class.

Nick Scalzo
Nik Scalzo threw for 2,000 yards in each of his final seasons and put the Chiefs in position to win the national title in 2019. He redshirted his first season after tearing his ACL at Kentucky.

Lance LeGendre
Lance LeGendre led Easton to the Class 4A state championship game during his senior season. He was the top running back for Louisiana in 2019. He didn’t see much action as a freshman at Maryland and will be at the combine in the fall.
