Micah Richards was seen pinning a man against a wall during a brawl at the Emirates Stadium yesterday.

Meanwhile, a man (42) was arrested on suspicion of assault.

Both experts were shaken after the incident, Sun Sport learns.

Sky is also thought to be beefing up its security moving forward.

The fan has since fled the scene in a crowd with police and Arsenal now reviewing CCTV footage to find him.

Keane and Richards were waiting near the lift in the members-only Highbury bar, at the top of the West Stand, when the incident happened.

They made their way onto the pitch to give their post-match thoughts as part of Sky’s coverage as the Premier League clash entered its final stages.

But pundits began returning to the Sky studio to watch a replay of Alejandro Garnach’s late goal for United, only to have his strike later ruled out for offside.

A witness told The Express that Keane asked staff nearby to call the police.

They said: “Looks like a fan tried to headbutt Roy Keane. Then I saw a mark between his eyebrows.

“Micah Richards came in and pushed the fan back into the door. I heard an argument and was shocked to see the individuals involved.”

The witness added: “After that we noticed a small amount of blood on the floor on the route where the fan was taken out. It appears that Micah Richards was Roy Keane’s bodyguard.”

Richards is said to have “acted to defuse the situation”, a Sky Sports spokesman said.

The fan was prevented from causing more serious damage to the United legend.

The pair were eventually escorted onto the pitch, where they had their say with former Arsenal winger Theo Walcott and presenter Dave Jones after the match.

Keane appeared confident as he gave his take on the game, even joking with Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice about how his strike should have been ruled an own goal.

Arsenal are cooperating with the authorities in the ongoing investigation.

A club spokesman added: “We are aware of the incident that took place during our game against Manchester United on Sunday.

“The Metropolitan Police are investigating this matter and we are fully cooperating with their inquiries.”

A Sky Sports spokesman said: “We understand police are investigating an alleged assault by a member of the public shortly before the footage was circulated on social media.

“In the video seen, Micah Richards acted to defuse the situation.”

Keane and Richards played for fierce rivals on the pitch but have been an unlikely link since the former City defender joined the Sky Sports pundits.

They are regulars on Sky’s Super Sunday program and are likely to return to TV screens together after the international break on September 17.

Arsenal finished 3-1 thanks to strikes from new signing Declan Rice and stoppage time substitute Gabriel Jesus.

Marcus Rashford had put United ahead earlier, before Martin Odegaard canceled out his strike less than a minute later.
