See a Roomba turn into R2D2 with this creative decal set

For all the true Star Wars fans out there, you can now purchase a custom sticker set from Bel & Bel that will turn your Roomba into a shorter, squatter version of everyone’s favorite robot — R2D2.

Studio Bel & Bel began with what founders Carles Bel and Jesus Bel call “repurposing old objects into functional ones.” Establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the world of “supra-recycling”, this creative duo works extensively with waste materials and other objects that are no longer used. Of course, that’s not quite the case with the Roomba or the creative sticker set.

A true feat of design, the decal set is perfect for transforming iRobot’s iconic vacuum cleaner into one of science fiction’s most beloved characters. With the signature blue, white and silver color palette, you have a pretty convincing recreation of the droid. And considering that the Roomba is practically the closest thing to R2D2 in real life, it’s nice to have a lid to match the contents.

On their website, Bel & Bel states that their “R2D2 Custom Roomba vinyl kit is a set to customize your Roomba cleaning robot”, which allows you to “do more fun jobs” and “re-customize your life”. Unfortunately, however, there’s still no word on when you’ll actually be able to purchase said sticker set, or how much money you’ll have to pay for your own personal piece of Star Wars paraphernalia.

So if you’re looking to set R2D2 to clean your floors, vacuum your carpet, or take care of some other everyday household chores, look no further. It’s not quite the real thing, but hey, we’re getting closer and closer to the reality of Star Wars every day. And if that’s not technological progress, I don’t know what is.
