Taylor Swift’s longtime publicist Tree Paine took to Twitter/X to criticize Deuxmoi for unfounded rumors about the wedding.

Taylor Swift dated actor Joe Alwyn from around 2017 until early 2023. Their relationship was well documented in songs like “Gorgeous” and her album Lover. But like all things, love fades.

At the end of 2023, Swift recovered and is currently dating Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Speculation about a secret “ceremony” between Swift and Alwyn began circulating on November 30 when a famous Instagram account called Deuxmoi posted a Story post. The account claims a ceremony took place in the UK sometime in 2020 or 2021. “It was described by many as a ‘marriage’,” they claimed.

Tree Paine criticizes Deuxmoi for causing “trauma”

Taylor Swift’s spokesperson Tree Paine usually doesn’t speak up about rumors, but this time, she couldn’t just stand by and watch silently.

“Enough with the fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi,” she said. wrote on Twitter/X.

Paine’s words rang out loud and clear as she continued, “There has NEVER been a marriage or ceremony of any kind. This is a crazy thing to post. It’s time for you to take responsibility for the pain and hurt you cause with posts like this.”

Her message was in response to Deuxmoi’s post based on a fan’s message. “I have no reason to lie, I can show what she did,” they wrote. “I’m sorry she didn’t tell you about it in a song, but just because she didn’t sing about something doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.”

Deuxmoi apologizes to Taylor Swift

In a follow-up article, Deuxmoi replied to Paine’s comment, wrote, “I didn’t make a single dollar from lying. Can journalists say the same?

“In any case, I apologize to Taylor,” Deuxmoi concluded.

Many speculated that the “concerning” comments were related to the recent death of a fan at one of Swift’s Brazilian concerts. But that has not been confirmed yet. Currently, it’s just a rumor.
