A woman named Desirae Kelly went viral on TikTok with nearly 30 million views after telling viewers about her horrifying experience when she discovered a live spider had crawled into her ear while she was sleeping.
A horrifying story has gone viral on TikTok. The video in question features a woman recounting her traumatic experience of getting red ears while receiving emergency care only to have a spider crawl out of her ear canal.
In a video that has garnered more than 29.9 million views, Desirae Kelly tells the harrowing story of going to urgent care only for nurses to find a living spider in her ear.
After a nurse took a closer look at Kelly’s ear, the medical professional confirmed that there was indeed something in there – and it appeared to be curled up behind the woman’s ear canal.
Kelly reacted with sarcasm about the “amazing” news as she waited for her ears to spill out.

“First of all, I’m embarrassed because it was so gross and I’m a clean person,” Kelly told viewers. “But other than that, it’s an unpleasant feeling — there’s a bug in my ear.”
The video transitions to reveal what went into creating Kelly’s ear.
“It was a spider,” she said through tears and shaky breaths. “It’s alive. I threw up. I never sleep again.”
How did a spider get into a woman’s ear?
In the second video, posted on October 24, Kelly reflected on her “traumatic” experience, which began with waking up from a “death sleep” at 5 a.m. with a strange feeling. strange in the ears.
“I thought they were tassels at the end of my blanket so I went back to sleep,” she said.
“About 10 or 15 minutes later, I woke up again and this time… I actually felt something moving in my ear.”
Kelly said she “sat up straight” after feeling ringing in her ears and decided to go to the Urgent Care Center as soon as it opened in the morning.
As the vibrating sound continued, accompanied by some pain, Kelly compared it to a “big moving cluster of wax” at the base of her eardrum.

When she arrived at Urgent Care, the nurse started washing her ears but nothing moved. However, when the nurse went to fill the inhaler, things started to happen.
“We are not spraying at this time and I feel like things are moving,” Kelly said. “I felt, whatever it was, crawling out of my ear… and out of the corner of my eye I saw something fall and land on my sweater.
“I should have known this wasn’t just a simple mistake when the nurse took a step back.”
The nurse cowered and began pulling at Kelly’s sweater to remove the still-living bug from her shoulder.
“When it fell from my shoulder to the floor, I watched it crawl,” she said. “I looked at this black spider with all eight legs crawling on the fucking floor.”
Nurses confirmed the bug was a common house spider and checked to make sure Kelly’s ears were clear of any remnants, including eggs, limbs or “other friends.”
“But I’m hurting,” she said. “Every night since that night, I have put earplugs in my ears. I don’t think I can sleep without earplugs anymore.”
“It’s the most uncomfortable, violating feeling ever to feel a spider literally crawl out of your ear.”
