The Walmart snack bar is trending on TikTok, with many users saying it competes with popular fast food establishments.
Until recently, Walmart’s deli counter wasn’t considered anything spectacular. In fact, when compared to Costco’s famous food court, some might say it’s at the bottom of their list. However, things are changing and with fast food prices rising by a staggering 13%, people are now flooding Walmart’s hot bar.
One TikTok user, @samantha420gonzalez, urged people to “Stop giving your money to these fast food places,” displaying a case filled to the brim with chicken wings, potato wedges, and mac and cheese.
At Walmart, an eight-wing combo will cost just $5.97, while at KFC, the establishment charges a whopping $9. Similarly, a set of 8 wings at Wingstop will cost between $12.89 and $15.99.
Is Walmart’s Deli Hot Bar really that good?
People who are considering stopping at Walmart for their next meal may wonder if it’s really that good. This is a controversial topic that has divided many TikTok users. Famous fast food TikToker Wayne Dang has nothing but praise for the establishment, calling their mashed potatoes “so flavorful,” and the mac and cheese “cheddar-licious.”
However, some people in the comments section have different opinions. One person claimed “the mac and cheese looks like playdough,” while another said the food “never gets hot” at their local Walmart.
However, with the opportunity to save over $5, this is definitely a winner for most people.
