On Saturday morning, police arrested the boyfriend of the murdered girl at a townhouse in Taman Song Choon. Yahaya Hassan added that initial reports suggested that the incident occurred around 4:34 a.m. when a woman reported to the police that there was a fight between a couple and the woman was seriously injured. When arriving at the scene of the incident, the authorities discovered a woman lying on the bed but unconscious. Paramedics from Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital declared the girl dead at the scene. However, medical staff took the woman to the hospital. The victim is said to be 24 years old while the suspect is 23 years old. Hassan added that three other people present at the scene were also arrested along with the girl’s boyfriend. He said: “A 23-year-old man who is also the victim’s boyfriend admitted to beating the woman and he was arrested along with three other people present at the scene of the incident.”
The three other arrested people were aged between 29 and 65 and they were believed to be members of the suspect’s family. Preliminary investigation revealed that the couple was living on the top floor of the store with their 8-month-old son. It is known that all four arrested subjects tested positive for methamphetamine. An investigation is still underway and the motive for the murder is unknown. The case is being investigated under article 302 of the Penal Code on murder.
